Avon Gorge Cruise
Cruise down the tidal Avon in the wake of a 1000 years of shipping and beneath Clifton Suspension Bridge
Lock out of the Floating Harbour at Cumberland Basin as you learn about Brunel's iconic bridge and explore the history of the Avon Gorge and the importance of other riverside locations along the way.
Due to the fast moving nature of the tidal water and limited options for stopping we do not recommend this trip for children under 8yrs.
The ideal departure point for this trip is the Bristol Packet Office next to the SS Great Britain. There is good access for coaches to drop off passengers here, and a limited amount of coach parking in the Maritime Heritage Centre (SS Great Britain) car park, or on Cumberland Road nearby.
Please note that we cannot guarantee that there will be space for your coach to park and all parking is subject to the standard tariffs set by Bristol City Council.
